1-1 Knowledge Sessions
Sit down with a financial expert who has nothing to sell you and everything to teach you.
Service Description
Our 1-1 Sessions were created to help you navigate the process of choosing and working with a financial advisor, with the guidance of our experienced team. We address common questions our clients have, like: “Am I making a mistake by leaving my current advisor?”, “What am I really paying my financial advisor for?” or “Can I trust my financial advisor with my retirement?” We do not provide financial advice or personalized recommendations, and we won’t make decisions for you. Our sessions are designed to give you a deeper, unbiased understanding of the financial advisory industry, so you can make your own decisions. We want to give you the insight and perspective investors often don’t get before choosing who to work with. No sales pitches. No pressure. No hidden agenda. What will we cover in the session? We’ll start by understanding where you are in your decision-making process - whether you’re choosing a new advisor, evaluating your current relationship, or simply looking for more context, we'll shape the session around what matters to you. Topics may include: • An insider perspective on how advisors operate and present themselves, including sales and compensation • How fees and incentives can influence the advice you receive • The different advisory firm models and approaches, and how they can shape your advisory relationship • What happens after you become a client and what to expect from the relationship • An informed way to approach conversations, ask questions, and evaluate an advisor Who will you be meeting with? Our facilitators are seasoned professionals with experience in the financial industry, including previous roles as financial advisors. You’ll hear directly from people with firsthand experience, who can help you identify and ask the right questions to better evaluate whether an advisor aligns with your needs and expectations.
